Food scraps are a resource for building healthy soils in our neighborhood, growing healthy food, and providing neighborhood food access for healthy living. Keep this resource local to support healthy soils in our neighborhood.

Our food scrap drop-off program is available for free for the community. Donate to our program to support our on-going work and create the possibility of opening up new food scrap drop-off sites.

Bring your food scraps for community composting at these times and locations:

  • Saturdays 9am - 1pm at the Pomona Farmer's Market at Pearl and Garey Ave

  • Anytime at the food scrap drop-off box in front of Semillas Community Farm (formerly known as Urban Mission) on 810 S. White Ave (at Ninth Street)
